How to Play

Play We Bare Bears Beary Rapids for free. WBB Beary Rapids is a free online water racing game where you play as Grizz, Pan Pan or Ice in a race while floating down the river in inflated intertubes. Guide your bear down river, avoid the obstacles, shoot the rapids and race to the finish. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the green Play button on the bottom of the screen to start.
- On the next screen, you can select one of two signs. The bottom sign is Time Trial, where you race against the clock. The top sign is Tournament, where you race against competitors. Press green button to advance.
- You can also select the button marked with a ? to see the controls.
- On the next screen, select your character. You can play brown bear (Grizz), panda or polar bear (Ice Bear). Press green button to advance.
- The next screen shows you the controls. Click the purple arrow button to advance.
- The game begins.
- Game Controls
  - The controls are:
    - Left arrow: turn left
    - Right arrow: turn right
    - Up arrow or space bar: paddle forwards downstream (or in whatever direction you are facing)
    - Game Play
      - Orient your bear so that he is pointing down river.
        Use the left and right arrows to gently spin him in the correct direction.
        If you press the left arrow key he will move toward the left side.
        If you press the right arrow key he will move toward the right side.
        Once his feet are pointing down river, hit the up arrow key or spacebar to start moving.
        When things are going well you can leave the space bar pressed in & only release it if your orientation is incorrect or you need to slow down to avoid hitting something.
        The rapids will cause you to speed up.
        Aim for the rapids where you can.
        Ensure you are facing in the correct direction as you go through and come out of the rapids.
        Avoid obstacles in the water. These include:
        Boxes.
        Cans.
        Rocks.
        Various river dwelling creatures.
        Don’t get stuck
        If you hit an obstacle, your momentum stops. Hit the up arrow or space bar to move forward.
        Avoid hitting the other bears. This will also stop your forward momentum.
        You can also get stuck along the river bank. Stay away from the brown, rocky areas.
        When you hit the side of the river you often face further in that direction as though there is a form of gravity sucking you in to hit it again.
        If you keep bouncing off the edge or another object then let go of the space bar, adjust your direction, then lightly tap the space bar a few times before holding it in.
        The orientation of the bear is quite subtle.
        Make sure he is oriented with clear space ahead in order to avoid getting stuck.
        Adjust frequently and make full use of the rapids to win.
        Any time you hit something or are facing the wrong direction temporarily let off the space bar to fix your orientation.
        At the end of each round, you get points based on your position.
        At the end of 10 rounds you get first, second, or third place.
        completing the 10-course series unlocks the time trial mode where you can play any of the courses in isolation while competing against the best time but not having other bears in the race with you.
        Bumping other bears
        If another bear is stuck and you are about to hit something you can instead bounce into the other bear to have them hit the object and then try to control your bear as you bounce off to go around him.

        There are cute visuals and no adult imagery.
        It takes a bit of skill to maneuver the bear.
